Plant-based cashmere, a fiber that warms the body but cools the planet!
Calotropis wool is a natural and sustainable fiber. It comes from a perennial "weed" that grows year after year without being plowed, planted, or watered. It thrives without human intervention on arid lands where no other plants can grow.
COMPOSITION

It is made of 70% organic rain-fed cotton and 30% Calotropis fiber.

It is produced without pesticides or irrigation systems.

Plant-based alternative to traditional wool: vegan wool.
- The shawl measures 200x75cm.
PROPERTIES

Softness and comfort similar to cashmere.

Thermoregulatory property: able to maintain heat in cold weather and breathe in hot weather.

Antibacterial and antifungal properties: hypoallergenic and beneficial for the skin.

Protects against UV rays.
MANUFACTURING

Natural dyes : This green is obtained from a plant called "Kadukkai" (Terminalia chebula). The color may vary slightly due to its artisanal nature.

Ethical and local manufacturing: the manufacturing of this material supports the agricultural and artisanal communities of the Tamil Nadu region (South India).

PACKAGING
The shawls are presented in a box made from recycled plant material, hand-printed with local flowers and plants. These boxes are the result of a close collaboration with the Srishti Trust NGO in Munnar, Kerala, highlighting our ethical and sustainable approach.
Each box being unique, the patterns may vary from one box to another, attesting to its authenticity.
INTERVIEW
